Standing in the street at midnight in Havana, Cuba, waiting to cross over to the Malacon, I photographed cars going by. The Malecón is Havana’s iconic 8-kilometer seafront boulevard and seawall, stretching from Old Havana to Vedado. Built between 1901 and the 1950s to protect the city, it serves as a bustling, open-air social hub for locals ("Habaneros") and tourists, especially vibrant at sunset and during summer nights.
