Hamar girl was walking down the hill from her hut when she encountered our group searching for the location of a traditional wedding ceremony. The Hamar (or Hamer) tribe lives in the fertile, bush-covered hills of the Lower Omo Valley in southwestern Ethiopia. They are primarily located in the Debub Omo Zone, specifically around the town of Turmi and Dimeka. Their territory lies east of the Omo River, north of Lake Turkana. (Print size 10 × 15”)
